Society Hill

Who knew you could mix trendy with historic? Society Hill manages to add a special ingredient to its famous historic neighborhood that makes it also one of the hippest and popular places to live in Philadelphia. A mixture of youth and retirees inhabit the neighborhood, proving it to have a little bit of something for people of all ages. The nightlife is booming as tons of bars allow for a fun night out. Stop by The Twisted Tail or Cavanaugh’s Headhouse Square for brews and a lively crowd.

 Another key feature of Society Hill is Penn’s Landing. The venue hosts outdoor summer concerts, roller skating, and ice skating in the winter. The Independence Seaport Museum offers a fun educational atmosphere for those curious about Philadelphia’s seafaring history. Penn’s landing also includes the famous, Spruce Street Harbor Park, which has food, activities, a breathtaking view, and of course, the colorful hammocks. Up against the Delaware River, Spruce Street Harbor is an urban beachfront that never fails to entertain. Food trucks line the boardwalk, while hammocks and lounge chairs allow a comfortable place for people to enjoy themselves. A perfect view of the water and unique floating gardens makes the trip even more worthwhile. People come from all over the city to eat, drink and have a good time at the famous park.
